So I made a yummy chocolate cake…which completely stuck to the bottom of the cake pan. So this is the post where I turned a great cake fail into an easy chocolate trifle (and bonus: it was a kid activity because they helped me with the layers!).

My cake was “made-from-scratch” too so there was no way I was just going to trash it…

The cake fail gave me a heart attack – it was a great from-scratch recipe I had been dying to try – so glad we could switch it into something else.
