It is no secret I love books (hey, my own is getting published soon!). I just had to share with you my fav 5 Great Pre-School Books. Perfect before bed time, for a car ride, to take on vacation or just browse at the library.
Thinking about introducing French books to your toddler?! Do it. Do it. Do it. This is how we introduced our big kids to French and they are fully bilingual at ages 10 and 12 respectively (yes, we do speak French in the house…but I firmly believe early French book reading was a good start to hearing, speaking and getting comfortable with a 2nd language).
- That Yummy Yucky book…a smart way to teach kids what they can and cannot put in their mouths.
- Are You My Mother…toddler loves the repetition and searching in the book.
- Ours brun…classic.
- The Going-to-bed-book…this board book is so travel friendly.
- Chenille qui fait…kids love to poke their fingers through the holes of this board book.
Do you have a fav. pre-schooler book? Share!
Totally agree and these are such a fun way to help them learn
Absolutely…and the routine of books becomes such a comfort.
Oh my! I can’t believe the caterpillar book is still so popular! I guess when you have something that works, you keep it 🙂
The greatest attraction for my son, with the caterpillar book, is putting his lil fingers thru the holes…he loves that.
My little guys really enjoy these books. Nice selection!
Thanks – these are certainly favs here!
that yummy yucky book looks so cute
The yummy yucky book is awesome (and a good way to teach kids what not to put in their mouths)
My son LOVES the Hungry Caterpillar book to bits! He could read it over and over and never get bored!
We have The Caterpillar book in English and another in French. You would think the kids would get tired of reading the same book in both languages…but they don’t…they love it everytime.
These are all such wonderful books! I’ve read them to my girls and my girls are now reading them to their kids!
Anne that is so great. Classic books are timeless.
