Have you gone into the kids’ summer clothes drawer only to find out they have outgrown last year’s warm-weather-wardrobe? Same here. T-shirts, tanks, shorts and dresses are all too snug, too short, too small. A new summer wardrobe doesn’t have to break the family budget…I did some reconnaissance to find some frugal fashion finds at The Children’s Place…and their spring style has something for every kid.
The Children’s Place Spring Style
- one-shoulder ruffle shine top
- knit waistband denim shorts
- rhinestud dip dye tank top
- sequin embroidered denim shorts
- sporty matchables tank
- matchables sport shorts
- matchables tank
- denim carpenter shorts
The above items are priced between $6 – $16; making them great deals! Everyday play clothes, camp wear, school duds (and school’s get HOT in June let me tell you!). I even picked up those exact jean shorts for my girls and that sporty outfit for my baby boy (proving I not only did recon but have test-driven the clothes!). Highly recommend!
When looking for spring kid’s clothes here are my tips:
- Look for items you can layer
- Think of your kids style – not your own
- Hidden elastic belts in kids’ shorts are a godsend
- Think about fabric (if I have to iron it – I’m not buying it)
- Look for mix and match items
And finally, don’t feel you can’t buy 2 of the same thing. If they love jean shorts – stock up!
Disclosure: The Children’s Place provided the opportunity to test drive the clothes. The opinions in this post are my own.
