This Family Day weekend (pretty much like every weekend) I want to spend more time with my family and less time cooking for my family. Don’t get me wrong – I do enjoy cooking (and I love baking ever more!) – but with my busy family schedule – quick and easy recipes are my go-to so that I can focus on family time.
On any given Sunday, we are running out to Karate or running in from Karate. Kids starving both ways. If I can have a healthy lunch on the table (or to-go!) in less than 20 minutes I call it a win.
The one thing my kids can all agree on liking is roast turkey.
I have proof because A Toddler’s Plate Doesn’t Lie.
What I like about turkey is that you can switch it up in so many ways.
Quick and Easy Turkey Recipes
Doesn’t it give you lunch box and after-school snack inspiration? What about throwing in Butterball roast turkey slices in your next Caesar salad? Or a Butterball roast turkey rolly-polly for a quick kid-snack (I have no idea why we call it a “rolly-polly” it’s simply a piece of turkey rolled up but somehow calling it a “rolly-polly” is a family tradition).
Often, I have to make our foods fun and kid friendly…here was today’s lunch…
Simple right? Simple is always a sure-fire hit. Fancy, labour intensive, meals are a treat but…for everyday living…quick and easy recipes save the day.
Do you have a quick and easy food idea to share?

Thanks. At first I was going to roast a turkey and then I thought…”hey Butterball has already done that for me”. Life’s busy…dinner shouldn’t be.
