Three things make my holiday shopping stress-free (as stress-free as Caroline gets – I am a stress-ish person by nature) -> on-line shopping (avoids store line-ups), practical giving (boring I know) and deal-getting (I can clip a coupon with the best of them).
Here are a few tips which I hope will help make your holiday shopping easier…
Shop On-Line: Why lug kids in and out of car seats – through over-populated stores – to the inevitable meltdown at the cashier (theirs and most-likely=…mine)! Bah humbug. Shopping online during nap time reduces my stress, impulse buying and carbon emissions. Take advantage of on-line perks like free shipping and free gift wrapping (I do!)
Practical Giving: Give toys which kids will play with and love. Instead of getting my toddler boy a bevy (great word “bevy) of stuff for Christmas – I have asked gift-givers to simply add to his collection of Wheelies. Why? Because Wheelies are his favourite toy. Wheelies make him happy. Adding to his collection – may seem small – but it will keep him after tens upon tens of minutes (which is a really long time for a toddler!) lining them up, moving them around, lining them up again. Practical giving makes life easier.
Related: Celebrate & Save goes on until 12/31/12 (but you can only get the coupons until November 30th!!) So hurry and grab them here: https://www.websaver.ca/en_ca/portal/mattel/
Save: Now is the time to redeem points, rewards, coupons, and deals can help you make holiday shopping more cost-effective. And they add up too – so remember to collect and use.
TIP: Keep your reward card numbers on a file in your computer – then you can easily copy and paste them to redeem while you are on-line shopping.

Great tips! I love shopping online at Christmas time. Beats fighting people at the malls.
Absolutely with you on that! Had to take kids to a mall last Friday (didn’t realize it was Black Friday) it was maddness. Won’t do that again until next February!
Those are good tips
Hope they help this holiday shopping season!
Great tips! I did a good majority of my Christmas shopping online this year and did not miss the crowds at all!
I’m with you on that – missing crowds is not breaking my heart at all.
Great tips! Online shopping rocks
I am getting better at shopping on line and using promo codes, points and savings
