We have a summer rule “No screens before 4pm” – read, colour, paint, run through the sprinkler, bike, walk, stroll, build, destroy, explore and create in the day time hours (which generally, once on a creative roll…4pm screen time gets quickly forgotten).
Childhood should be about creative play rather than uninspired screen watching (there will be enough of that when they are grown ups).
I am a big supporter of kid creativity. Just read Toilet Paper Crafts For Kids or Finger Painting for some artsy ideas.
Share-worthy: Energizer is celebrating the benefit of playtime via an online contest with +2,000 Crayola prizes to be won (and we all love Crayola n’est pas?). Energizer is the go-to to power your kids’ toys…Crayola is the go to for making art…nice to see them get married!
About the contest: an hourly draw running June 25 – Oct 1 (visit www.facebook.com/EnergizerBunnyCanada)
Parent Club readers have this exclusive PIN code for bonus entries: PopArt.
This summer free your kids from screens and Free Their Imagination!
