How to make a baby food jar sno globe

October 21, 2011 1 Comment

File this under a good green/eco activity to do with your kids. Re-purpose clean baby food jars into a kid-friendly activity.

You’ll need:

  •  a glass baby jar with lid
  • super glue
  • bathroom cocking
  • a glue-able figurine (plastic, crystal or metal will do.  Paper will not do)
  • Glitter
  • Water

Super glue figurine to the lid of the baby food jar. Set aside for it to dry.

Fill baby food jar 3/4 full with water. Add glitter. Spread cocking around outside tip of jar (work quickly). Then seal lid on jar. DO NOT TURN OVER YET. Set aside and allow cocking to dry (tip: put a dab of cocking on a paper plate – when that is dry you can turn your baby food sno globes over).

Ta-daa. Great for a Babysitter’s Club birthday party activity for a tween girl!

Oh my gosh this is such a cute idea! I have so many jars that I’ve kept and just didn’t know the right thing to do with.. I’m totally trying this – thanks!
