Did you read on the news yesterday that a child was left behind at the Vancouver airport – while his parents were busy rushing to make their connection. CLICK HERE TO READ THIS STORY.
Basically, the family was rushing to catch their connection — the family became separated. Dad thought his son was up ahead with Mom. Mom thought her son was behind with Dad. They were seated separately on the plane so they didn’t realize the child was missing. As the child did not have a boarding pass (he was to sit on a parent’s lap) the airline did not realize a passenger was missing and off they all went. The 23 month old child was found – by an airport employee. He was kept in Air Canada offices under supervision while his parents were contacted (mid-flight).
The classic parent nightmare. Loosing your child and being unable to get to them. The Dad had to fly 2,300 km back to Vancouver to get his child. Can you imagine the guilt, anger, stupidity, anxiousness, wonder, concern, despair, horror, impatience?….
