There will be lots of kids around next week. Your usual haunts will have a few more bodies. Here are some tips for March Break;
- Plan ahead. Perhaps do your grocery shopping in the evening; leaving the kids at home with another caregiver.
- Be ready for lines. Pack extra snacks. Take deep breaths. Don’t stress…go with the flow.
- Listen to the professionals. The Ontario Science Centre stated in their March Break newsletter that they expect Wed., Thurs., Fri., to be their busiest days.
- Take the TTC in off hours. Let the commuters finish their rush hour before getting the kids on the subway for a trip to the Museum.
- Make a date. Playdates are a treat for all ages.
- Make a theme. Go to listen to a story at Indigo or the Library. Make a book out of drawings at home; bound by string.
- Make life easy. Plan simple meals. Indulge in a Disney or Pixar movie afternoon. Bake muffins together. Do some artwork. Get the kids to bed at their regular time.
