How To Make Rice Krispies Treats

November 6, 2014

Classic activities are always best. Which is why I’m sharing this video tutorial on How To Make Rice Krispies Treats – it’s truly a classic. And kids have the best time making Rice Krispies Treats; measuring, pouring and then of course eating!

Make a Treat. Make a difference. Create a Rice Krispies treat in the shape of your favourite toy. Share a photo of your Rice Krispies Treats creation at www.RiceKrispies.ca using #TreatsForToys and Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate a toy to a child in need. The more treats shared…the more toys donated.

With chairs pulled up to the table and washed hands all around. We divided up How To Make Rice Krispies into age appropriate jobs. My tween was in charge of jobs at the stove top. My kindergarten kid in charge of pouring and patting. I read out the directions and supervised.

How To Make Rice Krispies Treats

Generally, we do the classic Rice Krispies in a baking dish and then cut into squares. However, this time we went all fancy; shaping and forming the Rice Krispies Treats onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. It was such a twist on the traditional Rice Krispies Treats routine.

Then, the kids got to decorate the Rice Krispies Treats; highlighting the Robot, Doll, and Race Car toy creations we were making. Aside: decorations do get eaten as they also get put on the creations – simply a fact.

The kids love these treats. They are fun to make with the kids and a cheap alternative to store bought treats.
