Take two toilet paper rolls and recycle them into this easy kids’ craft – make a mouse!
You will need:
- two toilet paper rolls
- tape
- string
- scissors
- coloured paper (2 kinds one for the body and one of the inside of the ears – we used blue and pink)
- marker (to draw nose)
- google-y eyes (or use a marker to draw eyes)
Cut paper and wrap it around each of the toilet paper rolls (the mouse body). Tape the two rolls together. Cut two ovals for the feet and tape on bottom (be sure to use marker to draw the little mouse toes). Cut two big circles (ears). Cut two small circles (inner ears). Attach ears to top of 2nd roll. Cut a tail out of string and tape to the back of the mouse. Add google-y eyes and a nose.
Bonus Activity: Play hide and seek with the mouse. Someone hides it…someone has to find it. Great fun that doesn’t require batteries.
This is so cute and easy. I want to make this with my son!
Omgosh, this is truly adorable! My brain would never have thought of this, at all lol I’m going to make mice for sure with my grandkids one rainy weekend day!
thanks
That is the cutest little mouse I have ever seen.
Cute, going to do this tomorrow but make bunnies!
