Easter Crafts For Kids are sure-fire boredom busters for Easter weekend. From dying Easter eggs to making an Easter basket to figuring out what to do with those broken egg shells (one always breaks right?)…I have some fun Easter Crafts for Kids to keep lil’ ones busy…
Easter Crafts For Kids
One of our most fav Easter crafts is Easter egg decorating…but you can’t decorate unless you boil the eggs right? Here’s a little tutorial on how to batch boil a bunch of eggs ->
Next, comes How to Dye Easter Eggs. I opt for the food colouring method (however, you can easily make your own natural dyes using beets, blueberries, tea…just google or pinterest-it). In addition, we will also be re-decorating some Easter eggs this year? How you ask? I have Easter eggs with blackboard paint on them and we simply use chalk to decorate. The blackboard paint Easter eggs are unbreakable (win) plus you can decorate and re-decorate as often as you like!
We always have one egg which cracks (go figure) so I created this Egg Shell Art craft to use up the broken egg shells. This is a good activity for fine motor skills.
And you have to make an Easter Basket…but making doesn’t necessarily mean carrying! This Preschooler Easter Basket Craft is a fun boredom buster (and it makes for a pretty Easter decoration!). This would be an easy Early Childhood Education (ECE) activity.
And of course, an Easter egg hunt makes Easter weekend complete. Chez nous, the Easter Bunny leaves a picture treasure map for the kids to follow – and answer riddles/solve problems along the way – to get to the Easter treasure the Easter bunny leaves for kids. It’s a tradition here.
