These Tips For A Romantic Getaway In Toronto is perfect for a weekend couples getaway or longer! From food to entertainment there is something for everyone (at every budget) for couples to enjoy in Toronto. This post will want to make you book a trip to TO!…
Tips For A Romantic Getaway In Toronto
Yorkville is an area in Toronto which whispers romance at every turn. Quaint cafes, fine dining restaurants, and high end shops offer couples the chance to enjoy the finer things in life. And you might even spot a celebrity in this ever popular corner of Toronto!
Live shows are never dull in the heart of the city. From concerts (rock, pop, classical – you name it – it’s live) to theatre (choose from musicals, comedy, drama, and more!) the live entertainment offerings prove why Toronto is the cultural hub of Canada.
Prefer a more laid-back romantic getaway? Then, you will love strolling through Godderham & Worts Distillery District where you can grab a coffee together on a patio and just enjoy each other’s company. The Distillery District is also a great place to browse shops and visit unique art galleries in a historic setting. Day or night…the Distillery District is a must-visit for a romantic getaway in Toronto.
Romance comes in many forms…sports for example. A date to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play at the Rogers Centre is truly couple-friendly. Or opt to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play. Or catch a Toronto FC soccer game. What is better than a game and dinner for a romantic getaway?
Casual dining (but good casual dining – we’re not talking fast food here) is available all over Toronto. The hipster eating places on Queen Street East (the Beaches area of Toronto) would make for a romantic dinner and stroll along the boardwalk evening. The funky ‘hood of Queen Street West makes for an alternative romantic dining option. Or try Chinatown. Or Little Italy on College. However…one of my favourite romantic getaway in Toronto spots is Greektown.
Greektown on Danforth Avenue (between Pape Avenue and Broadview Avenue) has a plethora of romantic dining options available. This length of the Danforth also has a great choice of stores to shop.
Canada’s largest city and most-visited destination, Toronto is Canada’s downtown. Toronto blends the best of modern Canadian diversity and inclusiveness with big-ticket events, top attractions, restaurants, music, architecture, culture and festivals in one of the world’s most unique and exciting cities.

Different cuisine offerings – there are aplenty in Toronto. Little Italy. Greektown. Chinatown. French. Thai. Jamaican. Canadian. Mexican. There’s something for everyone!

Toronto is a great city for a romantic getaway – so many things to do/places to stay/places to eat. My date list recommendations are a concert, Jays tickets, or just eating out at a restaurant and then people watching 🙂

we love it in T.O! We cannot afford to get away so we drive to T.O (only an hour away) and make a night of it. Our new favorite thing (only went once) was seeing a Jay’s game together and so close to the field it was like we were on it. Then went to dinner afterwards. so much more to do there that I have yet to experience and hope to change this coming year
