This easy pre-school craft is perfect to add to your pumpkin patch! Create a Toilet Paper Pumpkin Craft using supplies you already have around the house (or classroom). This is a switch up from my original Toilet Paper Halloween Craft (and I advise you to make a bunch of both crafts – they are super easy and really great Halloween Decorations!). So here’s how to create this Toilet Paper Pumpkin Craft…
You will need:
- Toilet paper roll
- Orange construction paper
- Black marker
How to make this toilet paper pumpkin craft…
Lay out your supplies and roll up your sleeves.
Line up orange construction paper beside the toilet paper roll. Cut the orange construction paper a little wider (about two fingers longer) than the toilet paper roll – on both sides. Using a black marker, draw a pumpkin face in the centre of the orange construction paper. Triangle eyes, triangle nose, rectangle mouth – with triangle teeth.
Fold the orange construction paper in half. Using scissors, cut from the centre of your fold line up and down the pumpkin face (don’t cut all the way to the ends of the construction paper – see next picture for how it should look).
Tape one end of the construction paper to the toilet paper roll. Next, wrap the construction paper around the toilet paper roll and secure it with another piece of tape.
Your toilet paper pumpkin craft should look like this (do you like the 3D effect?!). Next, using scissors, cut a strip of orange construction paper. Using tape, connect one end of the construction paper to the inside of the top of the toilet paper roll and then connect the other end of the construction paper to the other side (inside) the toilet paper roll. This makes a handle.
There you have it – a super easy toilet paper pumpkin craft. Cover the bottom with another piece of paper (tape it of course) and you have a little mini-candy holder. Place a battery operated tea light inside for a lantern. Or just make it as a craft and decorate your room.
