Hosting a meal (or taking something to a pot luck)…easy side dishes are always needed. I have taken to using my phone to take pictures of amazing side dishes and use them as infographics for my next meal-to-make. We are all busy with kids, laundry, errands…side dishes to a meal shouldn’t be an extra challenge. Here are some easy side dishes which inspire me…
Menu du jour…
Green salad with boiled egg. Serve with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So simple and fresh.
Tomato and Tuna salad. Drizzle with olive oil. Add onion if you like.

Every French chatelaine offers a cheese plate after a meal. Brie, Manchego, Blue. If you want to try a Canadian selection, I recommend Oka and Riopelle. Serve with baguette slices.
Oh those baguettes…so handy with cheese or simply in a basket accompanied by olive oil in a side dish. Want some warm appetizers?Try some steamed mussels and hot calimari with a slice of lemon. Easy and delish!

The boiled egg in the salad… great idea! I am usually sick of having chicken breasts in my salad as a side dish but egg is perfect because its a protein and it’s not as heavy!
