I gleaned this cool #craft and #activity idea from school. The teacher asked for the class to bring in milk clips (you know those little plastic ties that come with milk bags). What would a teacher do with milk clips you ask?! Repurpose them into this Rewards Idea and Chore Chart for Kids. This is smart…
Rewards Idea and Chore Chart for Kids
This activity takes something – we all have lying around the house (we have tens upon tens of them here) – and gives it a new life. Forget stickers for reward charts – use milk ties instead. Here’s how this activity works.
- child does a chore
- child gets a milk clip
- When child has 10 (or whatever your magic number may be) milk clips they get their reward

As a craft: kids can glue their milk clips onto their chore chart or make an envelope to keep their milk clips safe. As an activity: kids are responsible not only for their chore but for keeping track of their milk clips so they can get their reward.
And a chore reward doesn’t have to be a $ value. It can be a treat like having a one-on-one lunch with a parent, choosing the dvd for movie night or staying up late on a Saturday night.

That’s a really nice chose chart. I really believe in the power of rewards when children are younger as a teaching tool, and I like your reward suggestions.
