A subway staircase can be a challenge for a stroller. A mental frame baby carrier is impossible to pack on a trip. Some days the baby just doesn’t want to sit in the grocery cart. I have been on the lookout for a baby carrier that is safe, pack-able and comfortable. After a lot of research, I just had to share my find with you…BabyHawk Mei Tai baby carrier…and I LOVE it.
Doesn’t that sheepish grin of his shout “I’m totally comfy here!”. This BabyHawk Mei Tai carrier is a one-size-fits-all dream to babywear. It easily ties front or back (depending on how you want to tie it). You can wear baby front or back. Reversible – it has this funky pattern on one side and solid on the other Note: you can choose from a large assortment of ready-made carriers or be a fashionista and design your own on their site. (Personally, this non-gender-yet-goes-with-everything-I-wear fabric is perfect for us).
Stand out point: the BabyHawk Mei Tai is just a bit longer than a pencil when folded! Seriously smart! Think: packing it in a suit case for your next vacation, storing it in the car for quick trips to the grocery store (when baby just won’t sit in cart!), for walking trails in the country or down a subway staircase in the city. With some things…size matters…and compact is key with a baby carrier.
For me the biggest component of my Mommy research was sizing. I didn’t want something my almost-toddler would be growing out of the week after I got it. The BabyHawk Mei Tai can carry a newborn up to 40lbs. The BabyHawk Toddler Mei Tai can carry a 18 month old up to 40lbs. The Oh Snap SSC (also a BabyHawk product) can carry a baby 15lbs to 45lbs.
Is it hard to tie? Nope. Still, I did appreciate the step-by-step (super easy to follow) picture gallery of instructions that came with the BabyHawk.
Another Stand Out Point: BabyHawk is Made in North America (Oceanside, CA) and the company is headed by a real-life Mom *everyone wave hi to Robyn*. I think its important to support North American quality products at the same time as promote a mompreneur.
The BabyHawk is a big hit in our house. And I shamelessly recommend it for expecting parents and experienced parents who want to carry their kids in comfort and style.
Disclosure: I was provided a BabyHawk to experience and I truly, madly, deeply love it. The opinions on this post are my own.
